During
1998 we also purchased our first registered miniature jack
and jennet from Meadow Wood Farms owned by Loyal McMillan,
part of the Nordstrom family. The donkeys are smart, have
great personalities, and are fun to train and relatively easy
to maintain.
During 2005 we
purchased a proven 32 inch 1999 spotted jack, Circle
C Highlite (Circle
C Desperado x Carrie
by RVB Kelly) from Kathy Loudamy, Brownsboro Texas.
Circle C Highlite
has excellent conformation, is drafty in build, and has a
loving disposition. With limited breeding, Circle C Highlite
has sired a ACOSA Grand National Jennet and second place winner
at the 2006 NMDA Nationals in a class of approximately 30.
His daughter, KKR
Starlite was named 2007 National Champion NMDA Jennet!
In August 2007
Flight Of Fancy Cardinal
RG (30.5" sorrel jack, My World Winston x Sunset
Acres Lady Slipper) was added as a second herd sire. He has
been shown in tough Texas competition and placed second twice.
His foals are drafty, correct, and loveable. During 2008 his
daughter, Short &
Sweet Razzberry Sizzle won 4th in the yearling jennets
at the National NMDA show and in 2009 she won the jennet class
and was Reserve Model Miniature Donkey at the Houston Livestock
Show and Rodeo.
We have carefully
assemebled a group of high quality jennets from all over the
U.S. that are conformationally correct, colorful, possess
loving personalities, and are from superior bloodlines. It
is with great pride that we offer resulting foals from our
breeding program to loving homes.
NEWS FLASH!
We
hauled five donkeys to the Oregon Mule & Donkey Show in
Eugene in August 2009 and placed first and/or second in nearly
every class we entered; including trail, showmanship, and
halter. It may be time to buy a bigger trailer.... In other
words we had fun and are so proud of our little donkeys!
We
will be showing eight of our mini donkeys at the Oregon Mule
& Donkey Show in Eugene in August 6-8th 2010 and Sept
3-5 at the NMDA Nationals in Red Bluff CA.
