JF Ranch

	JF Ranch (aka JF Miniature Donkeys and Quarter Horses ) is located in the picturesque and fertile Skagit Valley on 60 acres in Northwest Washington State. We're dedicated to breeding and selling high quality colorful miniature donkeys and AQHA reined cowhorse and reining prospects with correct conformation and wonderful temperaments.
Of course Todd and Julie met while on horseback at a team penning in 1992. It wasn’t long before they became interested in competing in NRHA classes and eventually started showing in AQHA and NRCHA events.
	In 1998 we acquired the well-bred mare, Harley Days (Day Olena x Candis Chex Too by Bueno Chex Too) from Matt and Leslie Day in Bend, Oregon. The Day’s are well known as the breeders of NRHA Futurity Champion Todaysmyluckyday, and NRCHA Futurity Champion Smart Zanolena. Since the purchase of Harley Days, we have focused our attention on raising foals sired by the best cutting, reining, and reined cowhorse stallions in the industry. These stallions include Dual Peppy, Ill Be Smart, Lenas Wright On, Dealin Dirty, Diamond J Star, Yellow Roan Of Texas, Nitro Dual Doc, Tangys Classy Peppy and Playboys Buck Fever, Resulting foals enter into training their 2 year old year and are started on cattle prior to their sale.

During 1998 we also purchased our first registered miniature jack and jennet from Meadow Wood Farms owned by Loyal McMillan, part of the Nordstrom family. The donkeys are smart, have great personalities, and are fun to train and relatively easy to maintain. During 2005 we purchased a proven 32 inch 1999 spotted jack, Circle C Highlite (Circle C Desperado x Carrie by RVB Kelly) from Kathy Loudamy, Brownsboro Texas. Shortly after his purchase his daughter, KKR Starlite, was named ACOSA Grand National Jennet and NMDA National Champion Jennet. In August 2007 Flight Of Fancy Cardinal RG (30.5" sorrel jack, My World Winston x Sunset Acres Lady Slipper) was added as a second herd sire. He has been shown in tough Texas competition and placed second twice. His foals are drafty, correct, and loveable. During 2008 his daughter, Short & Sweet Razzberry Sizzle won 4th in the yearling jennets at the National NMDA show and in 2009 she won the jennet class and was Reserve Model Miniature Donkey at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. His son KKR High Roller has a long list of halter and performance credentials including ACOSA National Champion Gelding. We have carefully assemebled a group of high quality jennets from all over the U.S. that are conformationally correct, colorful, possess loving personalities, and are from superior bloodlines. It is with great pride that we offer resulting foals from our breeding program to loving homes. NEWS FLASH!
